Cycling, both as a recreation way and as a competitive sport, is rather a safe discipline but it is not free from contusions. The lower part of a cyclist’s body is the most vulnerable to different injuries. ITBS – IlioTibial Band Syndrome is the most frequent injury. At the beginning, the pain appears inside the knee as a result of joint and muscle overload. Moreover, cyclists have to struggle with patella injuries, knee osteoarthritis, tendon strains or even wrist problems. In the wake of a fall, bones fractures, dislocations or joint sprains frequently appear.
